More background fun!

This idea with the elastic bands is not all mine, I saw it somewhere in a kids book and wanted to try it out, so here you go, it's lot's of fun!

You need:
- Canvas
- Everyday boxes (cheese box, jewelry box....)
- kitchen paper towel roll (emtpy)
- elastic bands ( different sizes)
- old picture frame without the class
- acrylic paints
- paint brush/foam roller
Let's start!
First apply a base layer of color on your canvas. Let it dry. In that time you can create your snap-frame. Bind elastic bands around the frame and tie the ends together.

Than apply paint onto the elastic bands with a paint brush and place it on the canvas. Let the elastic bands snap.

Place it next to the first snap area and redo it. If the paint starts to get thiner, apply some more paint onto the elastic bands. Feel free to explore how much snap lines you want on your canvas.

When you have enough snap lines, add some more textures with everyday material. See some examples below. To apply the paint on to card boxes use a foam roller to get a even layer of paint on your print side.

And here the result how mine looked......

So have fun creating unique backgrounds!
PS: You can use this technique as well on paper to create unique artist papers!!!!! Go for it!!!!!

Today I found an email notice that I got another comment on my page here...so I checke it out and I'm so honored! I got an Award from Christi. Thanks a lot!!!!!

Make your own prints with everyday materials!

You can make beautiful artpapers yourself with everday materials. All you need is colored paper or white is ok as well, acrylic paint, inks, paintbrushes, foam roller and lot's of everyday stuff. For example:
- Lids in different seizes, different edges
- Kitchen paper towls/ paper roll
- cotton pads
- Q-tips
- fruit nets
- wallpaper leftovers or examples for the store
- jogurt cups
- other plastic cups/containers
- toilet paper rolls (empty ones)
- other round containers
- wood blocks
- and many more.....you just have to try it out!

Make your own wrapping paper....

You need white paper about 120g/qm, wallpaper paste, acrylic paints and lot' s of everyday containers or structure tools....there is no limits what you can try out. First apply a good layer of wallpaper paste to your paper. Than start making patterns with acrylic paints....have fun, try out new things......than put it down to let it dry. And there you go, wonderful selfmade wrapping paper, of which you can make paper bags, use it as artist papers or just wrap your next presents with!

...making your own stamps....

....with your name to....

...use them as stamps for your self-made Altered Photo Collage Sheets....

...you need a flat square eraser and some Lino-Cutting-Tool.....

....but don't forget to transfer it on the rubber stamp/eraser mirrow-viewed!!!! Otherwise you have a mirrow-viewed stamp on your paper ;)
